| The escrow system detailed here is only an option, users of our
service can transact money however they want when a project starts, however if this escrow
system is not used you can not hold ProjectLance liable if you do not get what you paid
for, or do not get paid for doing a job. This is how it works. The Project Manager deposits a set amount in the
escrow account for the Service Provider. Now once the money is in the escrow account only
the Project Manager can transfer the money to the Service Provider if he or she is
satisfied with the work, and only the Service Provider can cancel the escrow payment in
which the balance of the escrow account will return to the Project Manager.
If there are any disputes
over an escrow account at ProjectLance, we have a Dispute Resolution
Center in which ProjectLance will act as a 3rd party intermediate to help resolve the
issue. An investigation will be conducted by staff at ProjectLance to determine who the
balance of the escrow account should be given to.
This system protects both the
Project Manager and the Service Provider by guaranteeing that everyone gets what they want
out of a project.
The Project Manager is
guaranteed to get work done for their money.
The Service Provider is guaranteed to get paid for work done.
ProjectLance encourages it's users
to use the escrow payment system because it cuts down on fraudulent users and helps make
projects get completed more smoothly and ensures everyone gets what they want out of a
project.
We also encourage that users
follow the Project Guidelines to help limit the amount of
disputes that occur because of mis-communication about the project.
